Save the Silverbacks now!
Look people....we have very little time left. It could be too late already! There are less than 600 Silverback Mountain Gorillas remaining on the planet and 4 were senselessly slaughtered in the last month-July of 07!

We can not let this happen!
The gentle giants are our closest relatives on this planet. This is not a job for governments...It is a job for people, big and small, one and all. Mobilize, one and all and don't stop until we have accomplished our mission!
There are many incredible people and organizations that have been working on this problem for many years. You can contact them all by googling the internet under "save the Silverback Gorilla." They all need one thing - Money. One of the easiest and most direct ways to help is through www.wildlifedirect.org. There you can donate as little or as much as you want and 100% of your donation goes for things like park guard's food, uniforms, equipment and salaries. You will find many other places to contribute on line.

Personally, I feel the answer is simple (though not cheap!) and can be accomplished by getting to the right people. If you know them or are one of them, then let's go now!
We need to buy the entire habitat and convert it permanently to a national park. We have to fund it sufficiently to maintain it, indefinitely.....and we must create alternative life solutions for those who live surrounding the national park, that will satisfy them, in a way that they will not have any need or desire to infringe on the park land or it's inhabitants. If you know how I can get in touch with Larry Page or Sergey Brin from Google, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Rupert Murdock, Ted Turner, The People who own Walmart, or any other powerful or influential people, who are interested in helping, please contact me as soon as possible. In the meantime, mobilize your towns, your school children, your caring individuals and start fundraising.
Every dollar we contribute, will enhance our chances to get to the ultimate goal - stabilizing and turning around one of the greatest tragedies of our time, and all time. Loosing the Silverback Gorillas would signify a great loss to the planet and another travesty caused by humanity. We created the problem and we can fix it. I know we can!
Thanks to Time Magazine for their article, which brought this to my attention, and the internet, for being a place I might be able to begin a small effort to help and turn it into a major miracle! We can do this!!!

Thanks, Good Luck and God Bless!
One person, with hope
